"Don't come in late," his older brother, Sion, told him as Ryo was putting on his shoes in the hallway. "Mom and dad will be back by dinnertime and you're not supposed to go out."

"Don't worry, oni-chan," Ryo replied, getting up from the floor and checking that he was carrying his phone, wallet, keys and hand warmers in his various jacket pockets. "I'll only be with Saku-chan for a couple of hours and I'll be here before they get back," he promised. "Have fun with Yushi oni-san now that you'll have the house to yourselves for a few hours."
